ALUTA, PLACARDS AND LITERACY; THE REAL TRUTH

There is always this point of conviction from a belief or long-held perspective and this always results as a product of logical debate or argument. Also, there is this rare yet common incidence of you being convinced after being convinced, talking about getting to your old belief and this is referring to those moments of "oh my God I was a fool".
By now, if you have read about students leadership and unionism in the developed countries, you probably must be thinking that in its real sense, Students Union Governments across Nigerian Universities are rightly and gradually taking their course of organization, innovation, intervention, consultation, generation of ideas as opposed to the 'no-time' campus street protests, display of placards and chants of songs, all in the scope of "aluta".
 If that is true with you, I was just like you not too long ago, disillusioned, believing 'aluta' should be a thing of the past as it is synonymous with illiteracy but thanks to God, thanks to further reasoning and observation. I found the truth.

The Real Truth:
"aluta" is called for, necessary and pertinent in our universities as opposed what 'they' want us to believe. Why would students of Havard go a protest when they have everything a students needs, including ICT and numerous other facilities, most of which have always been and remain a mirage to us over here.
In a society where poor infrastructure, poor maintenance,  and corruption are evenly distributed across, things can not go like they do in Oxford and co, let 'them' read this, aluta can not die, should not die. It is not a sign of illiteracy, it is a response to the failure of administration and government.
One more thing, even the highly developed and literate societies of developed countries across the world sometimes respond with 'aluta' in times when they had even the slightest of problems, or has anyone forgotten the 'legendary' OCCUPY  WALLSTREET?
